Automation Testing Engineer (SDET/Automation Developer)
Location: Remote
The Automation Testing Engineer (SDET/Automation Developer) will be responsible for automating our current manual test suite and ensuring high-quality, reliable software performance across our products. This role requires a strong background in Java development and automation frameworks, with a focus on scalability, precision, and continuous integration and deployment.
As part of the Dicom Systems engineering team, you will design and maintain automated test frameworks, build new end-to-end testing scenarios, and collaborate closely with development and QA teams to ensure our enterprise imaging solutions maintain exceptional reliability and performance standards.
The position is remote and requires proactive communication, technical discipline, and a commitment to code quality. Part-time involvement in core development projects is available for interested candidates.
Primary Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Drive complete automation of existing manual test suites, transforming them into robust, scalable test scenarios.
- Design, develop, and maintain a high-quality automation testing framework using Java and Selenide.
- Build new end-to-end and integration tests across multiple software modules.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins) for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) testing.
- Participate in code reviews and collaborate with development teams to maintain top-tier product quality.
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices for automation to enhance testing efficiency.
- Maintain clear documentation of test cases, results, and system performance.
Technical Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of practical Java development experience.
- Proficiency in Selenide and Selenium WebDriver for test automation.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English, with the ability to document and explain technical concepts clearly.
- Experience in traditional QA is not required; the focus is on writing high-quality code for automated testing.
A Big Plus:
- Development experience in Go, Python, Perl, or C++.
- Understanding of non-functional testing principles (load, stress, and performance testing).

Compensation:
Salary is dependent upon experience. A 401 (k) plan and other benefits are available. Compensation increases with experience and the achievement of certification milestones.
