Dicom Systems End of Life Policy Guidelines

Products reach the end of their Product Life Cycle for a number of reasons. These reasons may be due to market demands, technology innovation and development driving changes in the product, or the products simply mature over time and are replaced by functionally richer technology. While this is an established part of the overall product life cycle, Dicom Systems recognizes that end-of-life milestones often prompt companies to review the way in which such end-of-sale and end-of-life milestones impact the Dicom Systems products in their networks. With that in mind, we have set out below Dicom Systems’ end-of-life policy to help customers better manage their end-of-life transition and to understand the role that Dicom Systems can play in helping to migrate to alternative Dicom Systems platforms and technology.

The End of Life Policy only applies to all Dicom Systems hardware product lines.
Hardware will be termed at “end of life” at 5 years of age from the date the current model was introduced, or 4 years from date of initial installation.

If applicable, the support agreement following an “end of life” occurrence will include an additional surcharge for full modernization.

Dicom Systems will continue to provide technical support for all End of Life products that remain under warranty. Warranty renewals will continue to be available for purchase for products that are no longer being manufactured. Please speak with your Sales Manager for more information. In the event of hardware support on an End of Life product with a remaining warranty, the product will be repaired or a comparable product will be substituted to replace the defective hardware.

Only current and fully paid Warranties will be honored.
