Josh Baker

Director of Implementation and Support

Josh Baker is a Technical Project Manager and Integration Support Engineer at Dicom Systems, responsible for leading successful product installations, customer onboarding, monitoring of customer sites, and technical projects. He oversees more than 100 new customer installations annually.

He has over 20 years of experience in enterprise imaging, healthcare IT, teleradiology, practice management, and billing, with expert knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and FHIR standards; vendor-neutral archives (VNAs); and PACS/MIMPS, RIS, and EHR/EMR systems.

Before Dicom Systems, Josh was Director of Operations for a premier aggregate teleradiology worklist vendor. As a consultant, he co-authored and published imaging informatics training materials in both digital and print formats. He conducted training at OTech Inc., a training firm specializing in PACS, DICOM, IT, and Clinical Workflow. In addition, he contributed substantial content to certification exam questions for the PACS Administrators in the Radiology Certification Association (PARCA) Certified PACS Associate (CPAS) Clinical Exam and Technical (IT) Exams.

Josh is a Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (CIIP) =by the American Board of Imaging Informatics, Inc. (ABII). In addition, Josh is a Microsoft-certified systems engineer, a certified HIPAA professional, a certified security compliance specialist, and an ISO 9001:2015 internal auditor.

When he’s not working, Josh spends his time cooking, cycling, writing, and planning game nights. He is a volunteer at DIMIST.org, the Diagnostic Imaging and Medical Informatics Support Team.
